The one aspect of film photography that I feared the most was processing my rolls of film because you have to do it in COMPLETE darkenss. The first time I actually processed on my own I spent about twenty minutes trying to gear myself up to it! And why - what if I can't spool my film onto the reel, what if I drop something and can't find it in the dark, what if I expose my film!!! And then after all that you have to mix all the chemicals- there's a lot of hard work involved. The first time I processed it took me about two hours, however, I now can do it in about forty minutes and is not anyway as terrifying as it used to be.
